You won't see Danica Patrick in GoDaddy Super Bowl ad

Danica Patrick has two more races left before calling it a career - NASCAR's Daytona 500 this month and IndyCar's Indy 500 in May - for what's now being dubbed as the Danica Double.

For both races, Patrick is reuniting with her longtime sponsor, GoDaddy, which featured her in several Super Bowl commercials over the years. However, as GoDaddy chief marketing officer Barb Rechterman recently explained to For The Win, Patrick will not be in any commercials during Super Bowl LII.

After it was announced less than three weeks ago that Patrick and GoDaddy are partners again, Rechterman said:

"We aren't in the Super Bowl. But Danica was the celebrity who has been in the most Super Bowl commercials ever - 13 of them - (and) they've all been GoDaddy commercials.

"But this year, we got a little too close to (the game), but we got so excited about the Danica Double that as we looked at it, it was like, wow, this is the Super Bowl of racing, being able to do both the Daytona 500 and the Indy 500."

The Daytona 500 - which is commonly known as the Super Bowl of racing by itself - is Feb. 18, and Patrick will drive the No. 7 Chevrolet for Premium Motorsports.

Here's a look back at some of Patrick's past GoDaddy commercials.
