Leslie Jones on Shaun White: 'Why y'all surprised?'
Shaun White scored an incredibly impressive 98.50 on his second run on Tuesday, to finish as the top qualifier in the snowboard halfpipe competition. (You can read more about that from Paste BN Sports' Rachel Axon here.)
White, a two-time gold medalist, finished a disappointing fourth in the Sochi Olympics. But at least one strong supporter was not surprised that he was able to make a strong statement in his first runs in this Olympics.

He'll compete in the final on Wednesday (which is on Tuesday primetime in the US).
