Michigan's Poole hit identical buzzer-beater in HS
Michigan freshman Jordan Poole hit a once-in-a-lifetime shot to defeat Houston at the buzzer on Saturday night.
Except he had hit that shot before … in high school.
As a senior at La Lumiere School in Indiana, Poole beat the shot clock on an identical 3-point attempt from nearly the same spot we saw in Wichita.
After the game, Poole had mentioned that the Wolverines practiced that end-of-game play numerous times. It was clear why he had the confidence to take that shot. He had done it before.
The shots were mirror images of each other.
