A medicated Embiid asks Rihanna if she's single

As Joel Embiid was recovering from Saturday's surgery to repair an orbital fracture, someone thought it would be a good idea to leave him with a phone.

The medicated Embiid live-tweeted Villanova's stunning shooting performance in the Final Four. With his Jayhawks struggling, Embiid did the unthinkable.

He sort of asked out Rihanna. On Twitter.

Before Embiid became the NBA star he is today, he went public with his desire to date Rihanna. He'd also reveal that a mystery woman - who everyone assumed was Rihanna - turned him down because he wasn't an All-Star. When he became an All-Star, NBA fans flooded Rihanna's Instagram comments.

Embiid essentially confirmed what we all thought in a follow-up tweet.

A medicated and tweeting Embiid was clearly the best Kansas highlight from Saturday night.
