Jared Leto screamed during ride with NASCAR driver

For an unexpected combination, Jared Leto visited the NASCAR world Wednesday at Texas Motor Speedway.

The Academy Award-winning actor hung out with XFINITY Series driver Tyler Reddick while promoting his band Thirty Seconds To Mars' new album. And, of course, he got a 200-mph ride around the track - where NASCAR is competing this weekend - with the JR Motorsports driver.

"This was absolutely a dream come true," Leto said after the ride.

Like a lot of people who experience riding in a race car for the first time, Leto told the Star-Telegram in Texas he didn't know exactly how to react in the passenger seat because the ride is so "intense."

He said the experience was "amazing," adding:

"I was inside screaming the whole time just like a kid. It's either you scream for joy or you scream for panic, but you're screaming."

The NASCAR Cup Series' O'Reilly Auto Parts 500 is Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway.
