Brie Bella speaks out on John Cena's breakup

John Cena and Nikki Bella stunned WWE fans over the weekend by calling off their engagement and separating as a couple. Cena and Bella had been dating since 2012, and Cena proposed last year in the ring after the couple won a match at WrestleMania 33.

Cena hasn't appeared on WWE programming since the announcement, but has made a few social media posts which could be viewed as a response news.

Brie Bella, Nikki Bella's sister, responded to a People.com report on Instagram. In the story, a source claimed that "Brie wants to kill him." Brie Bella refuted the report, and said that Cena will "always be family."

"I'd never say this and I'll always love John Cena like a brother. He'll always be family. My heart is hurting for he and my sister."
