Freeman hit on the wrist in mirror image of 2017

Last season, Freddie Freeman was an early MVP candidate before he suffered a fractured wrist when a fastball from Aaron Loup caught him on a check swing.

On Wednesday night, Braves fans' worst nightmares were revisited. Freeman was hit by the pitch on the wrist in virtually the same spot he fractured last season.

The side-by-side images of the pitches were eerily similar.

Yikes.

Freeman, who is hitting .288 on the season, immediately removed himself from the game and made his way down the dugout steps after taking the pitch to the wrist.

The Braves haven't announced the X-ray results yet. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the team is optimistic that this Freeman injury isn't serious.
