How Griffin's family reacted to stunning 40 time
Former UCF linebacker Shaquem Griffin was the story of the NFL combine.
Griffin, who had his left hand amputated when he was a 4-year-old, was a late invite to the combine and ended up being the star of the event. His 20-rep performance on the bench press was amazing, but it was his 40 time that was simply stunning.
In a recent feature with ESPN, Tom Rinaldi detailed Griffin's childhood and followed his preparation for the NFL combine. Cameras were present in his family's living room in Florida as Griffin broke out the 4.38-second time on the 40. His family's reaction to the moment was incredible (starts around the six-minute mark).
Griffin matched the time of his brother, Seahawks cornerback Shaquill Griffin, who ran a 4.38 at the combine in 2017.
Shaquem's time, though, was the fastest recorded time for a linebacker in the combine's history.
