Jalen Rose slams Shania Twain for Trump take
Shania Twain, a Canadian country singer known for songs like 'Man! I feel like a woman', said in a recent interview with The Guardian that she would have voted for Donald Trump because "he seemed honest".
The full quote, before we go further on this: "I would have voted for him because, even though he was offensive, he seemed honest. Do you want straight or polite? Not that you shouldn't be able to have both. If I were voting, I just don't want bull--. I would have voted for a feeling that it was transparent. And politics has a reputation of not being that, right?"
She quickly apologized after the interview was published and everyone started yelling at her, which all seemed like a bunch of ridiculousness to ESPN's Jalen Rose who slammed Twain in a segment for Get Up!.
So in summary: We now live in a world where a Canadian country singer's controversial statement about voting for an American president is addressed by Jalen Rose, a former NBA player turned TV personality.
Happy Monday.
