Francisco Lindor beats Astros' mascot in duel
Houston Astros' mascot Orbit was up to his typical and goofy antics Friday night during the defending World Series champ's home game against the Cleveland Indians. But they came with a twist for Star Wars night at Minute Maid Park.
Specifically, dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Orbit challenged Indians' shortstop Francisco Lindor to a battle with lightsabers on the field before the game started. Orbit didn't stand a chance, as Lindor "stabbed" him almost immediately, but he did pretend - well, this is all pretend - to be down for a little as Lindor went in for "the kill." But then Orbit shot back up for round two, which he still lost.
Even though he lost, Orbit might be the best mascot across Major League Baseball. Here are some other highlights from Star Wars night during the Astros' 4-1 win over Cleveland in the first of a three-game series.
The two teams play Saturday at 4:10 p.m. ET.
