Pitcher comforts batter after game-ending strikeout
In a moment that briefly should restore all of our faith in humanity comes an incredible act of sportsmanship at a high school game in Minnesota.
According to Bring Me The News, pitcher Ty Koehn struck out Jack Kocon to seal his team's trip to the high school state championships. But as his teammates celebrated behind him, Koehn didn't join in. Instead, he went straight to Kocon, a longtime friend, to console him.
"I knew the game was going to keep going or it was going to end right there," Koehn added. "I knew I had to say something. Our friendship is more important than just the silly outcome of a game. I had to make sure he knew that before we celebrated."
