5 stats that show U.S. Open is eating golfers

The U.S. Open we all know and (some of us) love is back and it's torturing golfers.

Let's sift through some of the carnage that went down at Shinnecock Hills on Thursday and look at some very high numbers:

1. Scott Gregory shot the first 90-plus round in 16 years

He shot a 92 to be exact. Yowza.

That would be a quintuple bogey on No. 14.
