Deandre Ayton forgets to edit sponsored tweet
It has happened many times before and is bound to happen many more times in the future. Occasionally someone with lots of social media influence will be paid to post a message, and that person (or their team) accidentally posts the instructions the company sends them instead of editing the text.
For instance, back in 2012, Buccaneers wide receiver DeSean Jackson hilariously tweeted then deleted the following: "Desean, can you please tweet this for the ESPYs party tonight: 'Chillin' at the @ESPYS #NokiaPreParty. It's awesome.'"
The day before the NBA draft, top prospect Deandre Ayton made the funny mistake that he has since corrected.
Fans flooded his comments by letting him know they saw his first post and that social media lives forever. It's funny, but remember this happens all the time.
Just last year during the NBA draft, Markelle Fultz made the exact same mistake.
It happens.
