LeBron James finally follows Jayson Tatum
Six years ago, current Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum was a 14-year-old boy who desperately wanted LeBron James to follow him on Twitter.
Tatum actually had a small connection to James at the time, as he is the godson of James' ex-teammate Larry Hughes. Tatum also happens to be a cousin of Cleveland Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue.
Tatum's old tweet went viral (again) when the Celtics played the Cavaliers in the NBA playoffs this year, but James was on his annual social media break. With free agency rumors swirling ahead of July 1st, James finally followed Tatum on Instagram, and explained in a comment why he hadn't followed the 20-year-old before.
"By the way I never saw this tweet until after the season was over. People told me about it going into the Boston series but I wasn't on social to see for myself."
