Channing Frye hilariously responds to fans welcoming him back to Cavs
The Cavaliers' first reported signing since LeBron James announced he'll be joining the Lakers is vet Channing Frye. Per the Associated Press, he'll be getting the $2.4 million veteran's minimum deal.
Frye was a member of the Cavs from 2016 when they won their first championship until they traded him to the Lakers in February of last season. The 35-year-old responded to that trade with jokes, and now that he's reportedly back with the Cavs, he has more jokes.
In response to a fan who Photoshopped him onto the Nike banner of James that used to be in downtown Cleveland, Frye wrote, "About time! Lol."
Then, to a fan who commented "Get ready to take us to the finals again" on his "Well i guess this is hello again" Instagram photo that he posted after news of his new deal broke, Frye lowered expectations by writing back, "way (too) early to be drinking lol."
Frye also had a comeback for his buddy Kevin Love.
