Durant made surprise appearance at New York park

Kevin Durant has made appearances at New York's Dyckman Park in the past. He took on Michael Beasley in 2011 and dropped by the summer league in 2016.

On Monday night, he made another surprise appearance.

The two-time NBA Finals MVP rolled up to the park and left a packed crowd going crazy over his presence. After posing for photos, Durant took a couple jumpers for the cameras. He airballed one shot and made the other.

It didn't appear that Durant - though dressed for basketball - planned to partake in the action. But he did enjoy the game with Warriors teammate Quinn Cook.

It would have been great if he got convinced to play, though, because another Rucker KD performance would've taken this NBA offseason to a new level.
