Vernon Davis offers Redskins LB $10,000 to say his ABCs backward
Washington Redskins tight end Vernon Davis was recently mic'd up during training camp, and, as these things often go, he offered an entertaining look at what football players actually talk about on the field.
As he and linebacker Zach Brown were warming up side-by-side, Davis made and interesting proposal, asking Brown if he could say his ABCs backward. When Brown said he couldn't, Davis made it interesting:
"What if I paid you $10,000 to do it? I'll give you until tomorrow. Ten grand on the table."
No word yet on it Brown left camp that day, immediately memorized his ABCs backward and recited them for Davis the next day.
Pro tip: It's easier to attempt to do your ABCs backward if you picture the keys on a non-smart phone. If you could text on a flip phone without looking down, you can probably do your ABCs backward - or get at least halfway there.
In the full video of Davis being mic'd up from NBC Sports Washington, the veteran tight end also showed off his lovely singing voice and praised fellow TE Jordan Reed.
After losing their Week 1 preseason game to the New England Patriots, Washington picks up in Week 2 against the New York Jets on Thursday.
