Golfer heartbreakingly missed out on PGA Tour card
The top 25 finishers on the Web.com Tour money list earned themselves PGA Tour cards for next season.
Kevin Dougherty finished 26th in absolutely heartbreaking fashion. On his final hole of the WinCo Foods Portland Open, he needed a birdie to jump into 25th place and a guaranteed call to the PGA Tour. He needed to sink this 25-foot chip from just outside the green … and look at how close he was:

The only slightly good news here: Dougherty has another shot. He'll attempt to earn a card through the Web.com Tour finals - another 25 players can do so by, per the PGA Tour, "(earning) the most cumulative money in the four Finals events."
