Manager rounds bases in HR trot after ejection

Independent league Chicago Dogs manager Butch Hobson certainly has a flair for the dramatic.

Earlier this month, Hobson took third base and gave it to a fan during a post-ejection tirade. Last week, the Chicago Dogs manager upped his tantrum game with a fake home run.

After Hobson was ejected from Dogs' game against the Sioux City Explorers, Hobson pretended to hit a home run, flipped an invisible bat and rounded the bases.

The trot included a handshake with the third base coach, a Ronald Acuña-esque finish and a high-five with a player. It was glorious.

I'm not sure what that even accomplished other than bring attention to the Chicago Dogs. But hey, if Hobson is going to continue to throw tantrums and get ejected, he deserves credit for the creativity.
