Lester conquered yips with a successful pickoff
Jon Lester is a professional baseball player who excels at throwing from the pitcher's mound to home plate but struggles with throwing to first base.
His yips have been well documented over the years. Lester has even explored creative solutions like bouncing throws to the bag, but on Monday, Lester was as confident as Lester has ever been.
When the Mets' Amed Rosario thought he could take a solid 20-foot lead off first base, Lester proved the Mets infielder wrong with a snap throw to first. Rosario was caught in a rundown and tagged out to complete the successful pickoff.
Be advised, baserunners, don't test Jon Lester.
Look at that throw: It was beautiful. It's almost like Lester gets paid to throw baseballs or something.
As if the pickoff wasn't impressive enough, Lester ripped a two-run single off Noah Syndergaard.

Despite all these instances of baseball greatness, Lester would have to take a no decision. But hey, he threw to first base.
