Kansas mascot mocked after trash can photo
The Kansas Jayhawks' football struggles read like some sort of cruel joke. Kansas is 3-33 in the three seasons under David Beaty (the only FBS win came against Texas). They haven't won a road game since 2009 and have had four head coaches in that span.
So, maybe - just maybe - the official Twitter account for Kansas' mascot, Baby Jay, could've had better self awareness before sharing this photo. The Kansas mascot in a trash can (while on a football field) isn't the imagery that Beaty wants heading into Year 4.
But alas, that's what happened.
Twitter responded, as expected, with plenty of jokes.
Kansas will open its season on Saturday against FCS opponent Nicholls State.
