The Pirates' Kramer and Newman created MLB's latest 'Seinfeld' moment

Two decades ago when Seinfeld was still on the air - and nowadays through reruns - the show about nothing often intersected with the baseball world, thanks to the Yankees, Astros and Keith Hernandez.

The overlap amazingly happened in real life Tuesday night during the Cincinnati Reds-Pittsburgh Pirates game when Kevin Newman and Kevin Kramer were spotted sitting next to each other. It was baseball's latest Seinfeld moment, and it was awesome.

Lovable and idiotic buffoons, Seinfeld's characters of Kramer and Newman provided countless hilarious scenes on the show.

But this photo between the two ballplayers in Pirates uniforms evokes a particularly memorable scene between Jerry and Kramer that includes the famous line: "But I don't wanna be a pirate!"

Even Hernandez - who had his own extended cameo on the show - had some fun with the image from the Pirates' 7-3 win Tuesday.

And Seinfeld fans had jokes too.
