Tom Brady: 'Parts about football weren't enjoyable'

Tom Brady hopes to play at least five more years in the NFL, but according to the Patriots quarterback, the past couple seasons haven't been quite the off-the-field experience he would have wanted.

Brady has faced reports concerning a turbulent relationship with Bill Belichick, and in recent weeks, has walked away (or hung up) from questions about his controversial trainer Alex Guerrero.

In an epilogue to the Facebook series, Tom vs. Time, Brady reflected on the recent drama.

Footage of Guerrero played on the screen as Brady made the following remark:

"If I'm going to do something at this point, it's gotta be because I enjoy it. The last couple years, a lot of parts about football weren't enjoyable when they should've been. Some of it was my approach. I think any time you're together with people for a long period of time, relationships ebb and flow. And I think people are just looking for something to write, talk about.

"They want to talk about a lot of drama. I'm sure a lot of teams have things like that. But ours is just to the 10th degree. I'm learning to deal with it better. I don't still give a (expletive) that much anymore. About anything, you know. I think a lot of keeping things in perspective. Like, nothing's that big a deal to me anymore. And maybe just caring about things that really matter like my family, like people's health. Like life and death. But to worry about a lot of bull(expletive) that people may say, or think or feel, I really don't care anymore."

At the end of the video, Brady would reaffirm his desire to continue his career well into his 40s. He said that it would be difficult, but he wants to try.
