Pete Carroll says he's sticking with Nike shoes
In the wake of Nike's recent "Just Do It" ad campaign featuring Colin Kaepernick, some people have resorted to pointlessly burning or destroying their already-paid-for Nike gear.
Nike took a calculated risk in promoting Kaepernick, and entertainer Kevin Fredericks pointed out that those mad about the Nike campaign likely weren't the people buying high-end Nike gear in the first place.
Fredericks made a joke about Air Monarchs - the $55 "old man shoes" that you can find at places like Kohls and JC Penny. He said that those were the people destroying Nike gear. Well, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll won't be one of them.
Carroll commented on the video in a tweet and proudly reaffirmed his commitment to his "'Narchs."

It wasn't necessarily an actual response to Kaepernick's ad campaign, but the Seahawks coach has worn the Air Monarchs since his days at USC.

He just really likes old man shoes.
