The Eagles ran the 'Philly Special' again and Twitter lost its mind
The Philly Special was a unique play that really only worked because the Eagles caught the Patriots off guard. Nobody was expecting a throw to Nick Foles on 4th-and-1 in the freaking Super Bowl. Doug Pederson will never call that play again because he knows defenses will be ready for it.
What's that? They did it again?
THEY DID IT AGAIN!!!!!
This is where I ruin the fun and point out that it wasn't actually the Philly Special, which started with a direct snap to the running back. This was actually the play the Patriots ran in the Super Bowl when Tom Brady dropped a key third-down pass.
That's actually so much better now that I think about it. Pederson just gashed the Falcons and trolled the Patriots with one play call. What a legend.
