Mahomes shares classy exchange with Garoppolo

The San Francisco 49ers lost more than Sunday's game to Chiefs - they fear that starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo could be done for the year.

During the second half of the 38-27 loss to Kansas City, Garoppolo tried to change directions on a run near the sideline. He pulled up, suffering a non-contact knee injury before taking a hit from the Chiefs defense. Garoppolo went down in pain and was eventually carted off.

After the game, though, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes went out of his way to wish Garoppolo well.

As Mahomes - who threw three touchdowns in the win - was walking through a tunnel at Arrowhead, he noticed that Garoppolo was on a cart in front of him. Upon seeing Garoppolo, he caught up with the cart and had a conversation with the injured Niners quarterback.

After sharing a handshake, the cart drove off. It was a classy gesture from the budding Chiefs star.

Garoppolo will undergo further testing on Monday, but there is little optimism from the 49ers.
