D-backs announcer burns ump Joe West before game

Joe West is one of the least popular umpires in baseball - it's the sort of thing that happens after serving decades as an MLB umpire.

But he didn't help his cause before Tuesday night's game between the Dodgers and Diamondbacks.

As the game was ready to get underway, West was fixated with the positioning of the cameras near the dugouts. West wanted to ensure that all camera lenses were behind the railing and halted the start of the game to make sure of it. The Diamondbacks broadcast did not appreciate the delay.

That set up Diamondbacks color commentator Bob Brenly for an epic burn.

"It's amazing he can see a camera leaning an inch over the railing, but he misses strikes by six feet."

Whoa. Did not see that one coming.

Brenly continued to roast West about the cameras in the sixth inning.

But hey, at least nobody had a cheat sheet. We wouldn't want to go through that ordeal again.
