LeBron hit deep 3 for first bucket with Lakers
A 52-year-old arena in San Diego located 700 feet from a Chili's was home to one of the most highly anticipated preseason NBA games in recent memory. We wouldn't have it any other way.
LeBron James made his Lakers debut at the Valley View Casino Center on Sunday, and he didn't wait long to make his mark in purple and gold. Early in the preseason matchup with Denver, LeBron knocked down a deep 3 to the delight of a raucous crowd. It was his first Lakers basket.
OK. His first official bucket won't come until Oct. 18 in Portland, but this was our first look at LeBron with the Lakers doing basketball things. It's going to take some getting used to.
The LeBron era has officially begun for the Lakers.
