Astros homers cost one fan $500 in beer
Astros stars George Springer and Jose Altuve combined for back-to-back home runs in the fifth inning against Cleveland's Corey Kluber, and the blasts to cost one very honest Astros fan $500.
According to ABC13, Astros fan Eddie Flores announced to Section 104 at Minute Maid Park that if Springer hit a home run in his at-bat, he would buy a beer for everyone. Springer delivered, and so did Flores.
When Altuve went deep to give the Astros a 4-0 lead, Flores bought even more beer for his new friends.
Via ABC13:
"We bought beer for seven rows straight," Flores said. "Then, it was back-to-back, so I bought another seven rows worth of beer."
Jose Altuve hit the second home run, which meant Flores bought another round of beer to celebrate. The cost?
"About $500," Flores said."
