Odell Beckham Jr. threw a TD pass before he caught one
It's not a harmonious time in the New York Giants huddle, since top receiver Odell Beckham Jr. can't stop criticizing quarterback Eli Manning.
But sometimes turmoil is the mother of desperate trick play invention.
Manning to Beckham to first-round pick Saquon Barkley who basically (kinda almost?) caught the ball in stride. Adjusted stride.
Probably worth noting that Beckham hadn't caught a TD pass at the time of this toss, and Manning hadn't completed a pass for more than 37 yards. And therein lies the problem between the two.
But maybe this is exactly what was needed to begin to mend the relationship. It was fun. The deception worked. Maybe now everybody can get along for a few hours.
