Cavs turn LeBron's old locker into towel closet
The Cleveland Cavaliers' locker room underwent a full redesign and renovation this offseason, but a new locker did not replace LeBron James' old spot.
A towel closet did.
As part of the renovation, the Cavaliers converted the corner locker location that was once occupied by LeBron into a place for players to drop off dirty towels and pick up clean ones.
This was all a coincidence - nothing to see here, right?
While the redesign meant that every player was getting a new locker, it seemed all too convenient that LeBron James' old spot was turned into a closet - an oddly placed closet, at that.
The towel area is tucked away in a corner between Kobi Simmons' and J.R. Smith's lockers. Even in the picture, Simmons' chair is blocking the way. An actual towel closet should be near a hallway, so the equipment staff can have easy access to clear out the laundry - that's just common design sense.
The closet placement looks even more awkward in the locker room's wide shot.
For those wondering, there is no "who has LeBron's locker' in the new Cavs' room. Totally revamped https://t.co/pcX4AnPOfT-

At the very least, it saved the Cavaliers from assigning someone to "LeBron James' locker" - even if it wasn't a sign of disrespect.
