MLB: Kiké Hernandez jokes after calling out Dodgers fans' energy

Monday's 4-0 Game 3 loss to the Brewers wasn't the effort the Dodgers would have liked at home. The Dodgers could only muster five hits and struck out 14 times in a game that was largely uncompetitive.

After the game, they were understandably frustrated with the loss, and Kiké Hernandez pointed at the atmosphere (or lack thereof) at Dodger Stadium.

The slumping Hernandez said to reporters:

"We had no energy. The stadium had no energy. The fans had no energy. Overall, it was a pretty bad game for everybody who calls themselves Dodgers."

Whenever a player mentions the home fans, it never ends well. But to his credit, Hernandez has done his best to clarify his remarks. He tweeted a lengthy statement on Tuesday, explaining that the Brewers took the Dodger crowd out of the game and that the Dodgers didn't give their fans reason to cheer.

And hey, he also had jokes.

The Dodgers will look to even the series on Tuesday in Los Angeles. Hernandez hopes he can help battle "Energy Deficiency" with a win.
