Chiefs inspire iconic Joe's KC BBQ restaurant to open Sunday
The Kansas City Chiefs suffered their first loss of the season Sunday, but there is still reason to rejoice in KC. Like a gift from the barbecue heavens, the Chiefs have inspired Joe's Kansas City BBQ to open its doors on a Sunday.
For the Chiefs' Sunday Night Football matchup with the Bengals, the original gas station restaurant - which is always closed on Sundays - will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on a Sunday. This isn't a drill.
Patrick Mahomes is that good, apparently.
This might not seem like a big deal, but it really is. Joe's is arguably the best BBQ in all of Kansas City, and the restaurant is never open on Sunday.
It just doesn't sound like it will be a weekly Chiefs-inspired occurrence for the restaurant, so enjoy the Sunday Z-Man while it lasts.
