Mike Francesa argues against Aaron Rodgers with wrong stats

Despite the Packers' modest 3-2-1 start to the season, Aaron Rodgers has been playing at a level that we'd expect from Aaron Rodgers. He's been great.

Radio personality Mike Francesa just didn't see it that way, apparently.

When a listener called in to argue against Francesa's point that sacks aren't indicative of poor quarterback play, Francesa jumped in when Rodgers' name was brought up. Francesa claimed that Rodgers was having a bad year, and he had the numbers to prove it.

The problem: Those weren't Rodgers' numbers.

Francesa said:

"That's not true that everybody gets sacked that many times. I mean, Green Bay - Aaron Rodgers is having a bad year going into last night. He's having a bad year. The guy had eight touchdowns and seven interceptions going into last night's game. Those are Aaron Rodgers numbers?"

No, they literally are not.

Heading into Monday's game, Rodgers had 10 touchdowns and one interception. He now has 12 touchdowns to one interception.

It appeared that Francesa had Rodgers' numbers confused with Blake Bortles, which is crazy. There is nothing about Bortles' game that should be confused with Aaron Rodgers. But that likely happened with Francesa.
