Dale Jr.'s team uses ridiculous video to introduce Jimmie Johnson to new crew chief

KANSAS CITY - For the first time in 17 seasons, Jimmie Johnson will start the NASCAR Cup Series season next year without crew chief Chad Knaus on his team.

The seven-time championship pair are breaking up after the 2018 season ends, but they'll both still be with Hendrick Motorsports. While Knaus will team up with current Cup Series rookie William Byron and the No. 24 Chevrolet team, Johnson will have Kevin Meendering as his crew chief.

Meendering currently works for JR Motorsports, Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s XFINITY Series race team that's also co-owned by Rick Hendrick. So before Johnson and Meendering team up, JR Motorsports decided to "help" the No. 48 Chevrolet driver get to know his new crew chief.

Thanks to this goofy video - which seems to be a partial spoof on The Most Interesting Man in the World marketing campaign - Johnson now has a fuller picture of what kind of talents Meendering has, like being the only one in JRM's shop to have tamed an eagle, having conquered the rubix cube as an infant and being able to win a game of Connect Four in only three moves.

All seems very helpful for the seven-time champ looking for a fresh start.
