Odell Beckham Jr.: 'I really don't like water'
What's the solution to getting cramps and dehydration?
Yes, the answer is drinking fluids. Water is a really good way to stave off those physical problems.
And when you're a world-class wide receiver like Odell Beckham Jr. who seems to be prone to getting cramps and being dehydrated, you should drink lots of water.
Except the New York Giants wideout has a take on this matter:
"I really don't like water. I'm trying, I really just don't like it, when you get that stomach feeling, it's all slushy … Sometimes I just gotta get an IV."
Really? Do you feel "slushy" during a game? And you'd rather get a needle into your veins than sip water more often?
There have been a few times Beckham has had cramps or needed an IV over the years, including last week when he left to get one near halftime, which was why he said he left before the second quarter ended:
From 2016, via NJ Advance Media, after a loss to the Eagles:
Beckham said he was cramping at halftime. He went to the locker room late in the second quarter to rehydrate and he was late coming out of the tunnel in the third quarter, but he didn't miss any plays as a result.
The lesson: Drink more water, even if you don't love that slushy feeling.
