Manchester United: Jose Mourinho ditched team bus to walk to stadium
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been on the hot seat for much of the season and has all but lost the patience of Red Devils supporters.
They just apparently couldn't recognize Mourinho outside Old Trafford.
Ahead of Tuesday's UEFA Champions League clash between Manchester United and Juventus, the frenzy around Cristiano Ronaldo's homecoming led to unusually bad match-day traffic to the stadium. It was so bad that the Manchester United team bus got stuck in traffic en route to Old Trafford, and Mourinho left his team behind to walk the rest of the way.
He claims nobody recognized him.
All it took was a hoodie.
Mourinho, of course, managed to get a shot in at his players while describing the walk to the stadium.
"I took two minutes. And what I did in two minutes walking, the players, they cannot do in 45 minutes in the bus."
Classic Mourinho shade.
The transportation issues could have been avoided by getting to the stadium earlier - or by staying here. After all, that's just basic time management for a home professional club.
