Alabama players got Nick Saban to smile, dance with Eagles-themed birthday party
Alabama football players helped Nick Saban celebrate his 67th birthday Wednesday by throwing him an Eagles-themed party (the band, not the NFL team).
Saban is a huge Eagles fan, and earlier this year, he explained that he's seen them in concert five times. So his party included music, inflatable guitars and saxophones and a giant sign in the background referencing the famous Eagles song, reading: "Take it to the limit one more time!"
But the most amazing thing that happened at this party was seeing the traditionally curmudgeonly coach crack a few smiles and even dance a little.
We assume Saban and co. got down to business eventually with their game against No. 4 LSU on Saturday, but it's always nice to see a different side to the six-time national championship coach.
Last year, the team celebrated Saban's birthday by having defensive back Daniel Wright serenade him.
Good to know his players will always be there to remind him when his birthday is, because, you know, sometimes he forgets it since it's in the middle of football season. Although two years ago, he said he only received one (hilarious) present.
