Eagles' Alshon Jeffery surprises second-graders who wrote him letters of support after loss
Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery had a pass go right through his hands during Sunday's NFC divisional-round playoff game in New Orleans, resulting in a game-sealing interception for the Saints in their 20-14 win.
No player took the devastating loss tougher than Jeffery, but a second-grade class responded by writing supportive letters to the receiver.
On Thursday, Jeffery paid that class a visit.
The students in West Chester, Pennsylvania, were told they were going to have a FaceTime chat with Jeffery. But "technical difficulties" with FaceTime were part of the surprise. Jeffery entered the classroom right on cue.
Needless to say, the entire class -- full of kids wearing Eagles gear -- was shocked to see the real Jeffery show up at their at school.
