The past few months certainly haven't been easy for Lonzo and LaVar Ball. The former Los Angeles Lakers point guard was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans in June – a move that came shortly after Lonzo parted ways with Big Baller Brand co-founder Alan Foster amid an alleged embezzlement scandal

Since the apparent downfall of Big Baller Brand, Lonzo had been generally quiet about his relationship with his father. But the latest episode of the Facebook reality series, Ball in the Family, shed light on where Lonzo and LaVar currently stand.

According to Lonzo, the two have hardly been on speaking terms since their heated argument about Big Baller Brand.

Lonzo said when asked about LaVar's reaction to the trade:

"I don't know. We're still not really talking."

In an interview with the show's producer, Lonzo admitted that his relationship with LaVar hasn't been what it used to be. He said:

"Our relationship is not how it's been in the past. So, we're not really talking too much right now. I really don't know how he feels. But I know he wants just the best for me. He should be happy. I don't know."

LaVar also recognized that their relationship had been tested recently, but he remained optimistic that matters will improve with time. "It's just going to take some time," LaVar said.
