XFL fans build massive cup 'snake' during D.C. Defenders' game vs. St. Louis BattleHawks
On Sunday, the XFL didn't have to look towards the product on the field for some excitement. The fans at the D.C. Defenders' home game against the St. Louis BattleHawks at Audi Field had that covered.
During the game, the fans formed a massive, section-long beer snake out of plastic cups. Seriously, it was an engineering feat, and it unfolded right there in the stands. The thing was huge.
The beer snake provided such intrigue and drama that even XFL commissioner Oliver Luck brought a cup to contribute. Roger Goodell would never.
All-caps tweets and beer snakes aside, the actual game was pretty abysmal with DC winning, 15-6, with just 256 yards of total offense.
Still, despite the inconsistent play, the fans at Audi Field appear to have had a great time.
