Michael Jordan now needs to humiliate LaVar Ball in a game of one-on-one

This is the Morning Win, by Andy Nesbitt.

LaMelo Ball slipped to the No. 3 pick of the 2020 NBA Draft where the Charlotte Hornets were more than happy to draft Lonza Ball's younger brother.

And then it didn't take long for NBA fans on Twitter to make jokes about LaVar Ball and Hornets owner Michael Jordan, who have traded a few shots at each other in the past.

LaVar Ball, of course, is LaMelo's father and in 2017 he said of MJ: "Back in my heyday, I would kill Michael Jordan one-on-one.''

MJ then had some with that idiotic claim by saying: "You got to understand the source. I think he played college, maybe? He averaged 2.2 points a game. Really? It doesn't deserve a response, but I'ma give it to you because you asked the question," Jordan said. "I don't think he could beat me if I was one-legged."

Jordan, as we all know, doesn't mess around with trash talk. And, thanks to "The Last Dance," we also know that he takes things very personally.

Now Jordan will be the big boss of LaMelo Ball and here's what needs to happen as soon as possible: MJ and LaVar Ball need to play a game of one-on-one so Jordan can humiliate LaVar and shut up him before he even gets to talk.

Will this ever happen? No, of course not.

But it's still kind of fun to think of it happening.

Can Jordan still play at all? My guess is yes, absolutely. I feel like a 98-year-old Jordan would be ready at any second to compete against anyone in anything. Now he's "only" 57 and should be good to go knowing how much he likes making people eat their words.

LaVar Ball is "only" 53 but I have to think he could be 23 and still lose to present-day Jordan. Especially if LaVar still shoots like this.

All this aside, it looks like the Hornets drafted a very good player in LaMelo Ball and it will be interesting to see how good he can be at this level.

But yeah, let's fire up this MJ-LaVar showdown.
