The New England Patriots have had a very bad year and things only got worse for them Monday night when they were blown out at home by the new AFC East-champion Buffalo Bills, 38-9.
This was the first time the Bills have swept the Patriots during Bill Belichick's 21 seasons in New England. This was also the Patriots' third straight loss, which dropped them to 6-9 – officially marking their first losing season since Belichick's first year in 2000 – heading into next week's season finale with the Jets.
During the loss Belichick was seen yelling at someone on one of the sideline phones before angrily tossing that phone away and walking back to the sidelines to continue watching his team lose in ugly fashion.
