Kansas City's Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have been teammates for a while now and have put up big numbers and won a Super Bowl together with the Chiefs.

All that time has made them very comfortable with each other on the field and they often know what the other is going to do without them having to say it.

Well, that relationship paid off big time before the huge play that set up the game-tying field goal at the end of the fourth quarter during Sunday’s divisional-round playoff victory against the Buffalo Bills as Kelce let Mahomes know he wasn’t going to run the route that was called for on the play. He saw something in the defense and let his QB know that and the rest is history.

You can hear Mahomes here yelling, “DO IT, KELC, DO IT! DO IT!”

HISTORY: Where does Bills-Chiefs instant classic rank among best NFL playoff games?

After the game, Kelce talked about his decision and about Mahomes yelling, “DO IT.” He talks after Mahomes in this video:

Brilliant.

Kelce picked up 25 yards on the play, the Chiefs kicked the field goal, and then Kelce won it in overtime with a touchdown catch.
