Klay Thompson on Golden State Warriors winning the NBA championship: 'Holy cannoli'
Klay Thompson is a four-time NBA champion and the shock still hasn’t worn off on him.
On Thursday, the Golden State Warriors won the 2022 NBA Finals with a 103-90 victory over the Boston Celtics in Game 6. And what a ride it was! Steph Curry won his first Finals MVP! The Warriors secured their place as one of the NBA’s best modern dynasties!
And not only that, Thompson had a hilarious, dorky moment when being interviewed postgame after the Warriors' win. While being interviewed, Thompson dropped an adorable “holy cannoli” like he was the main character of a 1950s cartoon.
Reflecting on his arduous journey from missing 2½ seasons to injury to winning a fourth title, Thompson said: "I'm just thankful to be here man. This is crazy. I can't even believe it. I knew (winning the title) was a possibility, but to see it in real time ... holy cannoli!"
