It's the final week of the college football regular season and things are getting weird. Weird in a good way, of course, if you are a member of the New Mexico State Aggies or someone who'd bet on them.

The Aggies entered Saturday's matchup with the Liberty Flames as 24-point underdogs. So, what did they do? New Mexico State beat the Flames by 35 points with a final score of 49-14 on Saturday afternoon, making it officially a 59-point difference on the spread.

The unthinkable Week 13 road win gave the Aggies their fifth victory of the season, which is the program's most since the 2017 college football season.

The only comparable upset this season was when Middle Tennessee State beat Miami 45-31 in September and the spread before the game was 25.5 points.

Another similar underdog story was in 2015 when UNLV beat Idaho State by a score of 80-8.

New Mexico State's Saturday win will go down as one of the biggest upsets not only of the season, but of recent college football history.
