Please, Tom Brady, we're begging: Just stay retired.

I don't REALLY think Tom Brady is coming out of retirement and playing one more year of football with the Las Vegas Raiders.

As we've detailed, the hoops that the soon-to-be-official minority owner of the NFL franchise would have to jump through to get back on the field feel fairly impossible. It would require other owners to approve a stakeholder getting on the field, and if I was, say, Jerry Jones, I wouldn't want to allow the GOAT to play for another team.

But this story simply will not die. TMZ Sports reported that "3/4ths of the league would have to approve his acquisition of a piece of Mark Davis' franchise. The second … 3/4ths of the league would then need to vote on whether or not he'd be allowed to play."

Can we just not? There's all this unretirement buzz that probably won't stop until the 2023 season is fully over. Ugh. And really, Tom: If you're considering this, may I remind you that you were kind of bad last year. I don't think this version of the Raiders is better than last year's Bucs.

Even though Brady said it out loud recently that he is NOT coming back, I still don't believe it. So hopefully, this helps: DO. NOT. UNRETIRE.

Thanks.
