Luis Arráez is hitting nearly .400 (!!!!!!!). It's time to pay attention.

Maybe the name Luis Arraez wasn't a household name, despite the fact that he won a batting title last year with the Minnesota Twins while hitting .316.

But then he got traded to the Miami Marlins in the offseason … and now he's hitting .399.

Normally, we wouldn't write about a chase for .400 early in the season. But we're a month away from the All-Star break. And the infielder is hitting .399. WHAAAAAAAA!

Will it last? I doubt it, even as good of a hitter as he is - do you realize he's struck out 11 times (!!) in 56 games? WHAAAAAAAA Part II! - because hitting .400 is impossible. The last guy to do it in the majors, as you probably know, was Ted Williams (.406) in 1941.

But this is suddenly the most fun story you need to be paying attention to. This is some Tony Gwynn-in-1994 (that strike ruined it!) stuff.

Maybe since he may fall to Earth (and that could still mean a batting title!), let's take a second and step back to appreciate this. This is awesome. Keep it up!
