Zurich to feature a host of international players


NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The Zurich Classic of New Orleans will feature a host of international players.

As of Monday, 37 players from 14 countries have committed to the tournament, which runs April 21-27.

WDSU-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1iQOi2a ) the field is led by British Open champ Ernie Els and Jonas Blixt, who tied for second in this year's Masters.

Others include Benjamin Alvarado, Stephen Ames, Stuart Appleby, Alex Aragon, Sang-Moon Bae, Steven Bowditch, Miguel Angel Carballo, Paul Casey, Greg Chalmers, Daniel Chopra, Brenden de Jonge, Graham DeLaet, Retief Goosen, Fabien Gomez, Padraig Harrington, Peter Hanson, Trevor Immelman, Freddie Jacobson, Matt Jones, Jason Kokrak, Bronson La'Cassie, Martin Laird, Danny Lee, D.H. Lee, David Lingmerth, Seung-Yul Noh, Carl Pettersson, Andres Romero, Justin Rose, Rory Sabbatini, John Senden, Tyrone Van Aswegen, Jhonattan Vegas, Mike Weir and Charlie Wi.
