At a news conference to announce his first public golf course, Tiger Woods gave a very short update on his health.
He’s designing a course called Payne's Valley in Branson, Mo., in partnership with Bass Pro Shops founder and CEO Johnny Morris.
“The back is progressing,” Woods said during a news conference. “ I have good days and bad days. I’ve had three back operations and that’s just kind of the nature of the business unfortunately. That’s all I can say.”
Woods hasn’t played tournament golf since the Dubai Desert Classic in February, where he shot an opening-round, birdie-free 77.
He skipped the Masters, saying at the time he didn’t have a timetable for his return.
